What we do with your data.

Who we are

senseform is made by Senseform Studio, based in Switzerland. Jessica Blanco is the data controller for the information described on this page.

For any question or request about your data, including anything in the "Your rights" section below, write to hello@senseformstudio.com. A person reads that address and we will reply.

Your answers to the questionnaire

Nothing you enter into the questionnaire is transmitted anywhere.

Your responses are held in your browser's session storage so that you can move between sections and refresh the page without losing your place. Your browser clears session storage when you close the tab, and choosing "start over" erases it immediately.

Your sensory signature, including the PDF, is put together on your own device and saved straight to your computer. It does not pass through our servers, because there is nowhere for it to pass through.

This matters more than it might sound. Responses about sensory sensitivity can touch on health and disability, which Swiss and European law both treat as especially sensitive. The tool is built so that we never hold that information in the first place.

The mailing list

If you enter your email address, we send it to Kit, the service that hosts our mailing list, along with a note of which part of the site you signed up from. Nothing else is attached to it. Your questionnaire answers are not sent, and cannot be, because they never leave your browser.

We use confirmed opt-in. You will receive one email asking you to confirm, and we will not add you to the list unless you click it. That confirmation is also our record of your consent.

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or you can write to us and we will remove you. We keep addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete yours.

Kit is based in the United States, and their own privacy policy is at kit.com/privacy.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits, so we know roughly how many people use the tool. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you between sites or between visits. It cannot identify you, and we cannot connect a visit to a person.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not share anything with advertisers.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all.

The session storage described above is not a cookie. It is never sent to any server, only this site can read it, and your browser clears it when you close the tab.

Other services this site relies on

Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, their servers handle your IP address in order to deliver pages to you, and they keep short-term security logs.

Google Fonts and cdnjs supply the typefaces and the library that builds your PDF. Your browser requests those files directly from them, which means your IP address is visible to those providers.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and under the GDPR if you are in the EU or EEA, you can ask us what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable form, or restrict or object to how we use it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Since the only thing we hold is an email address you chose to give us, these requests are simple in practice and we will act on them quickly. Write to hello@senseformstudio.com.

If you are unhappy with how we respond, you can complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland, or to your national supervisory authority if you are in the EU or EEA.

What this is not

senseform is a design and self-discovery tool. It is not a diagnostic instrument and not a medical service. We do not create health records, and we do not share anything with employers, insurers, schools or anyone else.

Changes to this page

If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are on the mailing list, we will tell you.
